To Winnipeg

Anyone here know how long a drive to Winnipeg takes... and how many Km's it is? Might be going there for the long weekend, but it sounds like a nasty drive.

It is about 1,200kms so 12 hours if you went 100km/h or 10 if you did 120:ed: :ed: :ed: :mrpimp: :mrpimp: :beer: :beer:

its more than 1,200 km. i make the drive 3 times a year.

it's roughly 1,100-1,150 KM to brandon, and then 199km from brandon to winnipeg. so just figure on 1300km. it takes me 9-10 hours to get to brandon, so again, figure on 11-13 to get to winnipeg. its all on the transcanada highway, you never have to get off the one road. all straight... all the way there...boring trip.

this is all of course, assuming my odometer is correct. and you take into account the 5km or so venturing into towns to fill up on gas and mcdonalds

ouch... thats alot of miles on the clock. Not sure if I want to add 2500 km's on the car just for the long-weekend.

yah, its a full day of driving each way. if you have a driving buddy, for sure go for it. i always have to drive by myself, and let me tell you, 10 hours of constant driving is not a good tim.

Am I reading that expedia thing wrong... or does it say 2128 km's one way....

umm, expedia must be fucked or something, because look at all the turns it takes. jsut take 16th ave (trans canada) all the way east, it turns into portage avenue in winnipeg.

1 street., no turns, 1300km.
