so, i had just spent 5 days installing my custom front mount intercooler, and after several attempts to fix a boost leak and finally fixing it, and on a test drive at full boost around 6500 rpm........ my front engine mount failed and my g charger smoked the hood and left a huge dent! initally i thought the g ladder blew up but i was lucky. but my point is the corrado never fails to kick you when you are down..... anyone else have this bad corrado curse???? everytime i fix something, i break something alse. but with this new intercooler this car hauls ass!!! best mod yet....
corrado's like to kick you when you're down!

Breaking is what Corrados do (or so I am told). But sounds like an awesome machine!

Yeh dude, you looked bummed when you came back from the test drive. You'll have it fixed in no time!

We spent ALL this past winter and spring, putting together a 16v-G60'ed corrado. Tweaked it to death with megasquirt engine management, and pulled just over 200whp on the dyno...

...only to have a connecting rod bearing go as the car is idling while we're unstrapping it from the dyno! doh! Damn oil pumps with 300k km's on them!!

            A rebuild is currently underway

I totaly feel your pain, i blew up my motor with 20psi and a bad ecm. a fresh rebuild bored to 2l with forged pistons, and lightened and balanced helped ease my pain......
