I am not a big e-bay buyer, but what is the best way to bid? Should I hold off until like the last 2 min or something... then out bid the person?

yeah, otherwise they will know that you are interested and will work extra hard to screw you out of the auction. I always wait until like < 1 minute before auction end.

Well, I'm no ebay expert, but that's usually what I do. On that MSNBC documentary they had about ebay a while back, the president referred to this practice as "sniping" LOL.

I've had people out bid me because they knew I was interested which really cheezed me off. Yes i had auctions come seconds then gotten outbid. :(

I always wait till the last min and then put in a max bid way over what anyone else has ...whatever I'm willing to pay... and I usually get it.
Putting in a bid of a dollar over what is bid never wins...trust me...
Sometimes your max is not enough... so ...ask yourself did you want to pay more that the max you put in....no

If you're serious, you use sniper software. It looks at the last 10 seconds and outbids any bid by 1 dollar instantly. You set a maximum for how high it goes. Enjoy your sleep.

haha funny thing those oem hids i got from ebay germany.. they had 4 hours left when i did my max bid.. i went to bed thinking i wasn't getting anything woke up and blmammo i somehow won

yeah max bid is the way to go, worst case you pay no more than you wanted too.
My wife is a e-bay whore. You name it she's bought it.

I have used e-snipe for this, & it works like a charm. Plus the nice thing is that you can win those auctions that end while you are at work or asleep.
