0Ga wire group buy?

I am looking at buying some 0Ga wire for my amps (soon to own) it would be cheaper to buy with a few more people. Found some on e-bay:

I am willing to go any colour and from 0-2Ga

0 gauge is hard to manage... so think that its not very bendy! More like metal.

I have never used it either but I was told.

I think that 0/1 is normally used only on REAL big systems and is also often used when moving the battery to the trunk etc.

But might as well run some thick wire back there just in case you ever want to move the battery.

I think that 0Ga is pretty intense, I would guess that its like 1/4" in diameter, if I'm thinking of the correct stuff

Well I was thinking 2 to 4... and then down to 8 until I have a need for the 2 or 4, yeah I was told $19/ft from Audio Concepts

If this great big wire is so required then why is the wire from the alt to the battery some pukey little 10 ga wire?

Way back when I was big in to car audio (I had an IASCA comp. system, and I was an IASCA judge) mondo huge, oxygen free, triple flux-capacitor unobtanium wire was THE biggest scam in the business.

Pro audio setups at concerts and auditoriums and whatnot don't use wire any thicker than 10 or 12 ga, and they run a lot more power (overall wattage, perhaps similar amperage, higher voltage).

The only things that have been proven (I will find the articles, perhaps) to improve powerflow is the generally known minimum gauge for amps transmitted, and the number of strands in the braid as the electrons travel only on the surface of the conductor, not through the core.

I have no idea either just going by how others have done it, lots of car audio places and enthusiasts do run 0 or 1 gauge to the trunk if you move your battery put in a 2nd battery etc.

myself i'm doing 2ga to trunk.. then a distro block and 4ga to each amp from there.. on our mk4 firewalls brent said 2ga is the biggest you can fit without having to drill it bigger so i'm guessing mk3 the same.. the 2ga will be able to handle the 1000+ watts i'm pumping out

i dunno.. some place local.. i'm trying to buy all phoenix gold stuff (easier for sponsorship if its all the same) so whoever carries thier wires.. but if its unlogo'd wire then i'll just get a big ass run of 2ga from some audio place in town..
