    Guys and Gals:

Went camping with my wife and youngest daughter for the first time (they usually go after school is out, for around 4 week days at a time, and while I am usually working). I took a couple of weeks vacation, and joined them over these last 4 days. Because of all the camping gear, there wasn't room for myself in the wife's Neon, so I had to take the Jetta as well. When unpacking the stuff in my trunk, my wife said to my daughter, "We go camping, and your dad has brought along all the car cleaning supplies imaginable--he's supposed to be roughing it!!" Hey, I get up earlier than anyone else, and UNTIL they get up, what am I supposed to do?? Even going for a walk, I still have tons of time left.. Thurs. morning, I used the Mequiar's spray under the hood, and today (Friday), I waxed it with Mequair's NXT Generation, and used the spray on the tires and mags.. Also used Windex on the windows...

Just before we were to leave the camp site today, I closed the trunk, which is already locked, and THEN realized my coat with the keys in it, is now in the trunk as well.. Thank goodness for the ski sack!! Removed 4 nuts, and then removed the ski sack, so I could reach into the trunk and grab my coat...

The Jetta MUST look it's best, no matter where it ends up!! Do any other NVD married members, have a spouse that labels them "obsessive compulsive", when it comes to keeping their dub clean??? Am I in this alone??? lol

No! I am the same way.
Wife "Are you washing that damn car again, it is not even dirty?"
Me "It is dusty and it looks like someone set their coffee mug on the roof again."

          LOL
          this sounds awfully familiar

I at least rack up a few brownie points by washing her car for at least 10 minutes for every 2 hours I spend on mine!

Oh yea!!! I hear you!! If I have been cleaning the Jetta, I switch to her Neon right after, so when she opens the garage door to see what I'm doing, I'm cleaning her car already!! And to Cordialtea--- I have a 3" x 5" picture binder, filled with pictures of cars I have either helped clean, or totally cleaned myself!! People I have worked with, my parents, anyone who I figured needed their vehicle cleaned, but they just never seem to get around to it.. Go figure.... There's ALWAYS time to clean cars!!!!

Cleaning your car is over-rated...if people are STILL turnin their head when your car is filthy THEN you know you're a true playa
