Well when Bart returns he will be bringing my new Brabus exhaust with him, so that will be next and I need a new valence to go with it. I need to get an esp disabler switch in order to attempt a burnout and maybe a dyno run. I also want a black front grill and some interior bits and that might be it for the fall. Then time to work on the big wheels and fenders for the spring time!!

Blair is smart going to offer a winter driving course here like they did in ontario? I saw it on the news a couple weeks ago and it looked like a really good idea.

That thing should be the sweetest little lawn mower around by next summer Blair Just kidding, I totally envy the amount of money you spend on gas....probably a little different than the $1.10 I pay for premium me thinks
Sales of 2,390 cars as of July seem small in Canada's 1.5-million annual auto sales but DesRosiers says Smart has outsold a host of mainstream models, including BMW and Mercedes SUVs, Cadillac, Suzuki and Mini Cooper.
Man, good thing VW didn't bring those small cars over, they wouldn't have made ANY money

Smart car fits into a regular parking spot with enough room left over for another one.
Some Vancouver city councillors say it would be smart to offer a parking-fee break to drivers of Smart cars.
"These cars are really good for the city, helpful for congestion and reducing pollution," Coun. Sam Sullivan said yesterday. "We do have to encourage that."
Councillors were responding to news that the City of Duncan on Vancouver Island plans to provide separate parking spaces for the motorized miniatures known for their low thirst for fuel.
Duncan plans to add a dozen micro-car spaces, open also to motorcycles and mopeds, after a Smart driver challenged a parking ticket for taking up half of a regular parking space by parking at right angles to the curb.
Coun. Sharon Jackson used a borrowed Smart car to zip around Duncan, squeezing the diminutive vehicle into various mini-spaces to see for herself.
"I found out there was a heck of a lot of wasted space that could be used by micro-vehicles, mopeds, scooters, motorcycles that legally can take up a full car space," Jackson said.
Duncan's planned mini-spaces are designed for any vehicle smaller than 2.7 metres wide, allowing the 2.5-metre Smarts to fit in.
In Vancouver, city-owned EasyPark parking service is already offering reduced rates to motorists driving low-emission vehicles such as Smart cars.
Sullivan and other councillors would like to go further.
"I would like to look at making parking more available for Smart cars outside of EasyPark," said Jim Green. "Smart cars are taking over the world, and that's good for our cities and the environment."
Coun. Raymond Louie noted that city hall has 10 Smart cars, including one driven by Mayor Larry Campbell, being tested in the city.
A spokesman for Smart-car maker Mercedes-Benz Canada said the company is pleased at the turn of events. "People have asked for special dispensation around the world because the vehicle is small," said JoAnne Caza from Toronto. "You can put two vehicles in one spot."
Across Canada, 3,300 Smart cars have been sold since they became available last September, she said. Prices range from $16,500 to $20,000 for the autos made in the French city of Hambach.
But not all B.C. institutions are ready to give Smart cars a break. A spokeswoman for B.C. Ferries ruled out reduced rates for the cars on ferries -- for now.
Well filled up last night and still got a 3.96L/100km even with the car being chipped and driving more agressive over the last tank to test out the chip!!

The attention for the Smart car does not seem to be dwindling at all, and comes in waves. Over the weekend I did some errands and stuff and came out to my car surrounded by groups of people on a couple of occassions. Also first complete tank with the UPsolute program gave me 3.9L/100km so does not seem to be hurting the numbers much at all.
Brabus exhaust should be soon......

Well thought I would give an update of my life with the Smart as I approach 4 months with the car. I have a 4.0L/100k average fuel consumption over the life of the car to this point, so very happy with that. I had my first service last week and the service itself was good, car came back vacuumed and clean, on time complete with a $200 bill but I guess that is Mercedes for you. I am running the snow tires now, but not much testing in that department since we are enjoying this nice weather.
The car still does get a lot of attention, seems like the weekends are when people seem to react to it the most. I also still get a fair bit of negative attention as people are very naive and disrespectful. They often will do anything possible to avoid being behind me at a light including cutting me off, sometimes I just forget about it as really I dont care but if the mood is right I will give the car a good run, and when you get a thumbs up from a Vette C6 owner I dont think that you are too slow
