Well filled up this morning and thought I would post up the numbers again. This tank saw the end of the break in period and so a little more revs and speed and no highway action so really still very good. I think next week will be chip time

What kind of gains do you expect from your chip/exhaust combo?

I am expecting about 16hp and 30 ft/lbs from the chip but I am not really sure what the exhaust will do, but some people say it can get another 5hp but I think that is a bit lofty. However it would be nice to have it around 60hp total that is 50% increase over stock!

this seems to be a common phenomena where rather normal people who have a regular passing interest in fuel economy purchase a sacred diesel sipper and suddenly they become a crazed fuel economy caluclating machine. Its all about how far can i go on a tank, whats my mileage, my cost/km. They suddenly are prophesing the benifits of diesels to their family, friends, and even stranger hwo happen to make eye contact on the street.

But fear not, there is help. FMIC (not what your thinking), its Fuel Mileage Insanity Club. A sort of 12 step program that will eventually deprogram to afflicted and return them to a sense or normalcy. I let you know more when I hit step 8.

Lol thats funny!! I am not overly concerned about the economy just fun to keep track of and see the numbers but I am really not trying all that hard. Maybe soon I will be trying to have the fastest Smart in town who knows

Well filled up again yesterday and got another 4.0L /100km so getting pretty consistent. However we will see what changes as it is currently sitting in the EU Tuning garage waiting on some more power.........

Well my Smart is now equipped with the UPsolute 60hp program supplied by EU Tuning. At first the change did not seem too huge but as it adjusted and opened up it makes a big difference. The power almost pushes you back in the seat now and the shifting is much smoother compared with stock. The speed limiter has also been moved to 159 but I have not had a chance to try that, plus the speedo only goes to 140. Thanks again to Simon for getting me setup!!
