  • Decisions, decisions.....

So, as many problably know I'm looking to ditch the VW in the near future and upgrade to something else. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on a couple possiblilities....

    Audi A4

BMW 325i (minus the AC Schnitzer aesthetics)

I'm seriously leaning towards the Beamer at this point because of how cheap they are here in Cali, and I don't like the way Audi has priced their "optional packages" that make the base price climb past the 325 Since you guys are collectively some of the most knowledgeable auto enthusiasts around, I'd love to hear your opinions!

Well for looks I think the beamer takes the cake. Otherwise if I were u then take both vehicles that u chose and compare them...

Yeah I know I'll get criticised for that comment but it worked for me.

      Good luck

My buddy just bought a 325i - I don't like it that much. Shifting and handling are great but the rest just screams badge whore. I haven't been in the Audi other than car shows, but for that price range I'd see if an Acura TSX fits you. Amazing car. Only reason he bought the beamer instead was because it was a divorce present and it's an incredible chick magnet.

I would only give up my Jetta for a M3 Coupe

Id get the Audi for the 2.0t and the AWD, but I think the bimmer looks better. I am totally feeling the new 3 series.

the bmw definately looks better, but isn't the 325 slower than a chipped 1.8t?

The facelifted A4 looks like an old man car. Then again, I think the new 3 looks like a drag queen. Why don't you go take a peek at an A3? I hit Glenmore Audi yesterday to have a look and they're pretty hot, even in 4-door trim. The only thing keeping me from buying one right now is lack of quattro, but who needs quattro in Cali.

I love the styling of the BMW, but the A4 in a good colour (something bright or black) with AWD is pretty practical (unless you're getting a winter beater, then AWD doesn't make a huge diff.

                      whoops . . . you're in Cali and AWD doesn't matter (does this car even come with quattro?). That's a tough one . . . .
