Need help with computer problem

Maybe this is an idiotic question given the amouunt of computer guys we have on our boards. But I got some kind of bug/spyware that causes my IE browser to open to some weird page. Even when I set my start page to something else, the next time I fire up the browser, it just goes back to this other page. I downloaded Microsofts free anti spyware software but it didn't catch what was cuasing it. Anyone have any suggestions? Anti virus software maybe? Something I can delete myself in a folder somewhere?

do you use ad-aware and spybot? if not, DL them (www.downloads.com) and do a scan.
If that doesn't solve the problem, download a program called hijackthis and give it a try.

The MS one isn't very good. Run Adaware or spybot - adaware is at www.lavasoftusa.com and is free, just go to the download section.

If that doesn't work, run HijackThis and post the log that it makes.
