Ya, with discount that would be in the neighborhood of $40. Theres a sportmart right by the KK (Is that where the mid-month meeting is?) so we could go then if ya want
Sweet, well I'll see what Alex has to say first, but I think I could wait till Wednesday.
Ok, I'm reviving this again, only because I need a little guidance on courses.
I want to play an 18, but neither me or my wife are that good yet. I know how snobby they can be at courses (and Nevada Bobs too but that's a whole other story). I just want to find one that's fairly easy and will be more likely to have noobie players on it so we're not making people mad.
Shaganappi says it's "intermediate" according to the City of Calgary website, anyone played it? Are there any others similar.
Sorry to bug people with all the questions but I don't have any friends that golf, at least not in Calgary. I just don't want my wife to have a terrible time because some old guy that thinks he's Nicholson behind us giving us dirty looks because were taking too long.
shag is okay but you'll get teamed with other golfers.. try the mccall lake walk on 9 hole par3 course.. good to learn basic iron usage on and not very busy.. or just hit up a driving range for a while..

Done driving range 3 times now, did the Mccall lake par 3 yesterday (and as it turns out, today also).
We did 18 in fairmont (windemere actually) and would like to again.
go to shag then.. its a short course so most of the holes are quite easy to play..
Cool, I guess the reason I was asking is because you can't find much about course descriptions and degree of difficulty for courses not owned by the city so I was wondering if there was a NON city 18 hole course that's fairly easy.
Honestly, i've looked at Mccall, I don't think i'd have a problem but.....well yea, I'll leave it at that LOL!
