If you go Canon make sure you buy a card reader, their software is terrible in my experience. The card reader gets you around their software, their camera won't talk to a computer without it...

Mine just plugs in as a usb device, and i can cut paste the files off

Nice, that's the way it should be...all the Canon's I've run into thus far require the Canon driver and software...and it's an annoying one. Maybe they'be figured out the PITA factor!

Mine is a canon, its wierd, I think I found some driver back in the day
