Well since we're toting out all the good stuff, I thought I'd share my kit (which may be a shade off topic).

I know theres more crap in my bag, but I can't remember what it is. That's the majority of it though.

I'm not a pro, and frankly I don't even shoot as much as I should, but it's something that I enjoy and could see doing more of in the future.

Yeah, i hear that . . . I've got so many odds and ends lying around that it'd take me a whole day to list! It's amazing how much accumulates . . . my reasoning is that one day I'm gonna think of something cool and not be able to do it because I sold a piece of equipment on Ebay or something.

I have to have a real job to pay for my gear... I wish I could shoot for a living. What paper do you work for?

Well, I would argue that I have a 'real' job, but who's kidding who here? I shoot for the Chronicle-Herald in Halifax. I've shot for quite a few publications in the past, but now that I'm staff my spare time is worth an awful lot to me. I'll send you a few pics when I get some time.

Work at consumer electronics store in Calgary. If you are looking at current model Sony, Panasonic, Casio, or Kodak, PM me. Will sell to you for what I pay for it. Typically about 13 percent mark up in a current model digital camera. PM me the model you are interested in and I will PM you the price I have. Canadian warranty, 30 days refund, exchange, upgrade. How can you lose?

If you go Canon make sure you buy a card reader, their software is terrible in my experience. The card reader gets you around their software, their camera won't talk to a computer without it...
