Paint....Again.

Hey Guys - I know we've had a dozen thread's about paint but this one is a little different. A buddy of mine has a truck (2k2 mazda) that is starting to rust around the wheel wells (was never painted right from the get go, didnt prime the arches well and he's had it resprayed before)

Anyways, he was hoping he would be able to spray the wheel wells with flat-bed-liner-paint..stuff..., is that possible? And I'd assume Rudy's would be fine for something like that?

As long as its somewhere thats used the stuff before, I am sure its not too tough. If you get any moisture underneath those coatings, I heard they can bubble etc.

Ya, I know the guy doesnt want a **** job but seeing as its in the wheel wells that don't really get seen by anybody I cant see it being an overly tough job...Anybody have RUdy's number off-hand?

When I worked at Varsity we had a few customers send their trucks to Tyro to get their wheel wells sprayed with bedliner. It is pretty much right behind Alberta Wheel Repair.

Wow, if I had a 2k2 that was rusting like that, I'd be out there with salt and water making some holes so the dealer would have to replace it....thats crap, theres no reason with the coating technology we have now, that metal should not be adequately protected....And the crappy part about paint warranty is that there has to be actual perforation before its covered....
