Yeah prices are getting up there and I noticed a few stations switching to digital signs I guess to handle 3 digit prices which will come soon. It is tough sometimes to swallow the bills but as my Dad often reminds me that price is part of what drives this city and the higher it is the better off most of us are. That being said I am also looking forward to driving the Smart car which will probably get me the same distance but for about a third of the cost.

I think a more accurate statement would be that the higher our gas prices go, the richer Bush and his cronies in the U.S. get. All it does it hurt the local economy, as the increased cost of ground shipping raises prices across the board and general cost of living.

I disagree based upon Calgary's economy being largely Oil & Gas based. This increased cost generally does put more money into local companies which trickles down making people in other businesses benefit as well. I am not saying that high prices are not a product of government policy and the like but that in our particular city this can be a good thing. If oil & gas prices went down a lot this city would be a lot worse off then if they went up in my opinion.

Your guys' gas is still at 89.9?

That's what it is in s'toon right now, and we're usually always 7-10cents more than alberta.

I've noticed that they pay less in Ontario, I don't think its that high here.

I truly don't think I benifit at all to the high gas price.....Not in my business anyhow, I could see if I was part of the oil and gas sector sure, but they are just gonna post record profits, more money for them....I don't see how we can put up with it, especially because of the fact that most of it becomes profit....Thats not the point, it should be jeez, supply is tight, and we need to up the price...I think they are still producing just as much, just charging that much more for it!! Its absurd......I can't believe, I'm driving a Volkswagen, 4 cyl, with reasonable fuel economy, and I have to ***** about fuel cost.....It would be my fault had I been driving a Tahoe, or an Armada, but I'm doing my part....and I can't take transit, its just out of the question, I'm forced to drive to work, plus, only working with one other person eliminates car pooling....ugggghhhhh, I'm pissed......I'll find out how much to pay for 94oct later today, I'm a block away from the sundance station....

yeah, but that diesel will take you futher than gasoline would, so you still get the better end of the deal.
