I just went to their site, i'm sure it's them, I need to pick up that album.
Their first cd was released in 2002 very solid in my opinion and their second disc is to be released on May 24. I am not sure if they lived up to the hype that was placed upon them but I enjoy them a lot. I have read opinions that if they were a band that came out of now where they would have gotten huge praise but because they are formed from the ashes of two huge bands the expectations are/were way too lofty!

Yea, I remember a lot of hype, I kinda thought meh, it probably isn't any good anyway, but I ended up checking it out and liked it. I never did buy it and basically forgot about it until this thread. Then while I was looking for info on it I checked out one of their new songs, it's pretty good. I will have to keep it in mind for the 24th, I should pick up their old one too.

I thought their CD was good, and I even saw them at Lollapalooza in Seattle 2 years ago... but when it comes down to it Audioslave sucks @$$ when compared to Soundgarden and Rage Against The Machine. Those are two of my favorite bands ever. Audioslave doesn't even come close.

OK I go for the mellow stuff. I'm digging the new Jann Arden CD, and Green Day for now.

SOLID cd's? hahaha....BAWHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA. The only 'solid' hip-hop is old school, the new stuff all has some gimmick (that chick in swollen members for example)

And barenaked ladies have a couple songs I like but for the most part..Newp.

You must be stuck on the commerical radio and/or do not get out of the house much, because the under ground hip hop scene is producing some of the best beats since the likes of RUN DMC (still one of the best! )

                            I could go on....

Just because you flip over to Vibe ever now and then and find 50 Cent taking about B*tchs and his money does not mean Hip Hop is dead, as that is not Hip Hop... or even Rap. That is what your little bother or sister likes because TV tells them to (or maybe even you? ). Check out the underground Canadian and EU scene some great stuff going around...

Matt Mays and El Torpedo (local band that keeps getting better and better), the latest Social Distortion (can't remember the album name offhand), some classic Public Enemy, bit of Hendrix, Joel Plaskett. I'm waiting for Gordie Johnson's new band to finish their album - that'll be good highway music.
