I was tempted to check that out last night, unfortunately by the time I got to HMV they were about to close, so instead I quickly listened to the new Mars Voltas, barely had a chance to listen to it but it was only 10 bucks so I decided to give it a try. Back from the dead.
Went to Death From Above 1979 at the warehouse last night. They had 3 opening bands. Missed the first one (Fake Cops). The second band Sylvie (from Regina Sask.) was awesome. I am going to buy their CD as soon as I can find it. Next came controller.controller.. also pretty good. But then DFA hit the stage and blew the roof off the whole damn venue. It was like being repeatedly punched in the head ... by ROCK. My ears all still ringing today! Truly an awesome show. And I wouldn't even know who they were if Blair hadn't mentioned them above.
