Well I have to say last nights concert was freaking amazing; from the start DFA 1979 were blasting and pounding away to get the crowd warmed up. QOTSA was second and I felt they were a bit mellow for the set but still put on a very good show, and then finally NIN. They were crazy, 2 hours straight of solid tracks both new and old along with a light and stage show that was uber impressive. The energy and sound was a full out assault on the crowd and it left you wanting or even craving more, overall an outstanding show!!
Since I am still feeling last night I am rolling some deep house, and for those that enjoy this as well make sure you check out my friend Humps at www.calgarysoul.com, his november mix is hot!

I hit that site weekly to get Sideshow Sid's stuff, so I recommend checking it out too!
Since this was technically the last show of the tour NIN played for 2 hours straight (in Van city they played for 1.5 hours). They busted out some rarely played songs (Reptile). All in all a fantastic show that will be playing over and over in my head for weeks to come.

Sounds like it was a good show. Someday i'll get on the ball and check out some concerts again.
Well, I've actually been listening to some Kenny wayne this week, His guitar rules and he's got such a unique voice. Not to mention his recordings are awesome, so crisp and clear. Not normally a big blues kinda guy but likin' his stuff.
Well, with the thanksgiving holidays this weekend and my phatnoise now working again (knock on wood) I finally had the time to check out some new music. This week I’m really digging Nine Inch Nails. Their track Only has been on repeat all week. Also, Panic at the Disco is awesome! Really unique style and plays well loud Their tracks ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’ and ‘Camisado’ are two of my favs. Although the lead singer has this sort of Fall Out Boy-esque quality that kinda bugs me. But great band nonetheless. Also really enjoying Paramore, Senses Fail, The Bravery, and some mellow stuff from Death Cab, Cary Brothers, and The Spill Canvas
