It was nice to meet everyone last night! I can finally put faces to the names. Compared to CVD, this club is more friendly.

Re: Thanks!
Originally posted by uv23Dave, it was really good to meeet you. I just booked a service appointment at South Centre for this coming Monday, March 7. I'll be dropping the car off before 8am and speciifcally asked to have you working on the car. Main thing to diagnose is the "mysterious whistle". Alsol, the buzzing sound that happens when you open the driver's side door after it's been sitting for a while (priming of fuel pump, I believe) seems to be gone. Not sure what's up with that but I mentioned it as well. Treat Babette like a lady!
Does your interior light come on when you open the driver's door? It may be the door latch.
I will treat her like my own. don't worry she will be in good hands.Last edited by VAG_Tech; 03-04-2005, 04:23 PM.Like Type 2's? Visit my blog!

Re: Thanks!
It's not that I don't get the two clubs. I understand that each has their own place and I know that Blair understands that as well. It's the constant comparison between the two and the uncalled for verbalization of negativity from one to the other that drives me crazy.
Remember why we do this. It really is for the people because I can assure you...it's not for the money...

I also appreciate the thumbs up on the shows. That's why I put so much time into them.Last edited by Duffy; 03-19-2005, 01:32 AM.President of Club Vee-dub

Re: Thanks!
Duffy I can say for one that until only this tread we have never had anything to say about CVD and I don't mean that in a negative way. Most of the NVD regulars have nothing bad to say about CVD at all otherwise we wouldn't be going to such events as farfrumhome etc. I find it refreshing to see "old sckool" and older cars as that is the generation of VW I grew up with. I myself drive a mk4 as I am an electronics guy and like the toys but when I get a house err garage I am going back to a mk1 or 2 with a TDI swap.Name: Brent

Re: Thanks!
Well I have to say this is like beating a dead horse and the subject annoys me as I know it does Duffy. We have 2 VW clubs in Calgary and they are both great but they are both different; different cars, different people and different events. That means that one is not better then the other but perhaps one fits better then the other for some people and that is great beacuse it all comes down to two things, the cars and respect.Blair
