I think this is a good idea. Has anyone done this yet? I keep thinking about doing it but always find something else to do.

well i made the claim this morning, they cant get an adjuster to loko at it for 9 days though, and after that another 2 or 3 weeks to get into the bodyshop so i have no windows in the middle of winter in winnipeg for 3 weeks at least. good times.

but if it all works out, and insurance covers everything, you'll see some crazy nice mods come out of it. since it has to be painted, might as well shave it rite?

Shave it but leave the rear VW symbol, otherwise the back looks to plain.

i'm doing the opposite because I want to be able to still open the hatch with the handle. without the handle, opening it is impossible in the winter.

Hmm ok that looks good but then mold the edges around the handle too.

i dont think i can afford crazy things like changing up the handle and the keylocks and molding in the sides. im only wanting to spend a few hundred extra on the trunk. the bulk of my money is going into the touchscreen.
