Anyone know a landrover owner?

I am looking at buying my wife a Land Rover discovery for christmas (not new of course , a 1995)

Anyone know someone with one and what they think of it?

I would be cautious about some of the early model Discos.... They are renowned for extremely poor build quality and lots of things go wrong with them!

I would look into a model newer than a '95 once BMW infused tons of money into quality control.

Umm my family owns a freelander and range rover .. and we havnt had any problems other then accident related stuff. But of all the service/sales deparments the one here in calgary is the best i have seen.

A buddy of mine bought one... he later found out it was one of the worst vehicles ever for resale/ trade in value. He didn't care though because he bought it to keep it!

A friend of mine has one as well. He goes on and on about how much he likes it. I noticed it seems kind of small inside, smaller than my Golf. With a ski jacket on it felt like there wasn't enough elbow room in the car. Anyway, if you want to talk to the guy in person let me know, as he will be in town snowboarding this weekend.
