there was a server downtime today of 6-10am where there was a server-side patch. they put back gear in the character select screen. so it should be back now.

Wow, the phalic symbol of every dwarf... . I found out last night it sucks following lv50 horde on mounts. I did take down some lv50's though and that was alot of fun.

the gnome ones are called mechanostriders, here's a picture of one i took next to rammy the ram.


And its regularly 20gold for training, 80 gold for the mount, but with the 10% discount that comes with honored, its 18g and 72g respectively (90g total)

lol, ya thats hardcore n00b. How can you expect to keep up when you put 1/3 the hours in that some of these guys do? I gave up trying to level-match my buddy whos nearing 40 now, Im not even 30 yet lol. Besides, questing alone and all that crap is the best way to level fast IMO.

Also, you can play it like a true ballah and just wait for a couple months till Simon and crew are 55+ and gettin nice gear and crap and get them to power level you

hah, my crew is already 55+ because there are alot of ubernerds out there. and I gave Ryan awesome gear the first couple days he had the game :P But yah, there is no need to catch up ryan, go at your own pace and enjoy it. The best part of this game is the storyline from the quests, truly great stuff. And high level PVP sucks nwo anyway, so you're not missing much.

My talent tree is basically all-defensive. I wield a 1handed sword (30dps) and a 1000def shield. have 20 pionts in defenseive talents, and i think 10 in fury.

I tried the dual wielding thing, but it has major pro's and major con's.
first of all, when dual wielding, you miss like crazy. I think the mainhand has a 25% chance to miss, 2nd weapon has 50% chance to miss. So you're hitting 125% instead of 100%. this 25% is huge in rage buildup though. because with every hit you're getting much more rage, so you can do alot more special moves and howls/shouts.

it's up to you though, either way you dont have to stick with one and forever go with it. I used to dual wield, then I changed to a huge damage 2 hander, now i picked up a nice shield and i go 1handed. even if you sink points in talents to specialize in one area, you can pay to have them removed.

my advice summed up:
1) if in a group where you're not the tank, use a high damage two handed weapon
2) if in a group where you ARE the tank, use a shield and a 1 hander.

and soloing its up to you.
