The weirdest thing about the US is how the 'electoral votes' are assigned in an all-or-nothing kind of way. So there is no difference between states of equal population/size who vote 49%-51% vs 75%-25%.

Main and Nebraska both split votes

Actually, once on a slow trip through Nova Scotia, I drank Labatt with a ramblin' country Canadian fellow who spoken only a drunk stuttered, broken french. It was amazin', beer was shiite(like the muslim, ) though..
