Movin to SoCal

Hey all,

Well I found out last week that I got a job offer from a company in Los Angeles So I'll be leaving this weekend to make the journey from Calgary to SoCal. Words cannot describe how happy it makes me that I will be able to roll on 19's year round and won't have to deal with gravel trucks for a long time Needless to say, the NVD stickers will remain on to represent while I'm down there and show all those chrome sportin', pimp-my-ride watching, Californians how we roll Anyways, just wanted to say that all the mod days, car shows, and just generally hanging out with you guys and gals will be missed I don't think my car (and my knowledge of VW's) would be where its at today without you folks.

I figure I'll be coming back to Calgary often to visit so I'll still try to make our monthly meets when I'm here.

I didnt ever meet you but I saw your ride on several occassions and I can say that talent and design abilities like that will be sorely missed.

Thanks guys. I was also wondering, what do you think I should have looked at on my car before I make the drive down? I figured an oil change, new spark plugs, and brake fluid is in order. But is there anything else I should have the dealership look at?

Do you know if your car will be ok under california mod and emissions laws? I know its REALLY hard to bring in out of state cars there. And yours isnt just out of state.

Well I think we knew this day would come but congrats I am sure you will enjoy living down there, who wouldn't? You and your car will be sadly missed at all the NVD events, no more mod days up in Rocky Ridge and no more quality photos of our cars. I guess we will survive with out you but it will not be the same you are a big part of making NVD what it is today!

Damn Derrick now I have to buy a house with a garage for mod days Congrats on the job and keep us up to date with all the crazy mods you will be doing with all the fat cash you will be making. Plus the VW scene in cali is booming at the moment so it might give us a good reason to hit some shows down there next year!

I'ma miss you a ton homie but I know your new job is making your pockets fat and face smile. I know you'll represent hard down in socal. Mod days will move to the south I guess but thats cool cuz club love is all around us. I'll miss the 2 block drive to hit up your car-hold for those crazy mods.
