  • Bad day before Holidays...!

Well took the TDI in to South Center for them to do my 48k service...
thought eveything was going well... Asked the guys to do the rotation on the mags anyway since I'm off to the U.S. for a few weeks starting Monday...
Off they come and the guy does the rotate but he can't get them back on my front left side...my bolts are barely holding them on... then we look at the right side and my wheel bearing is completely shot... barely had these mags on for a few months ...wtf? Anyone else have problems like this...
Had to get my stock wheels brought in and those mounted...bill guess...
    48k sevice $165
    rest of crap $330
and now my left side needs new bolts new bearing, as it's going also... and probably new hub as i'm sure its cross threaded......
    arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg
Anyway..the guys there were great...really helped me out.
    but still ouch!!!
    just before a big holiday.....!!!!

I would say it depends on the bolts, wheels, spacers, etc. One problem I read about is that people often use the stock bolts on aftermarket wheels, and these bolts do not always seat properly. There are differen bolt seats such as cone or sphere shapes that need to be matched to the wheels...
