Anybody here ever install a Bell ExpressVu system? I can't get the motherf*&^%$ to find the god-damned sattelite. Any suggestions?

My neighbors must be hating me right now, there is a lot of profanity coming from the roof of my house. @!^$%#

damn really mike? might have to get one of those finder dealys or get a 13" up on the roof with you..

btw which model did you get? i want the new 8000 hdtv model its not on the site but i guess you can phone and get it right now

my mom's bf just got the new HDTV dish/receiver it looks awesome with nice hdtv.

I installed one this spring. Do you have the TV out on the patio, or are you running it direcltly through the house? When I was doing mine, I was getting too much signal degradation through the wires in the house to get a good lock. After I got a good lock (75% is the minimum) I hooked it up in the house, and fine tuned it from there.

Are you getting signals from any satelites? I did have some trouble finding the right satellite, but if you are getting no satelites it may be an equipment problem. Also, you may want to wait for a really clear sunny day, so that you are getting the clearest signal when you are looking for the satelite. You may want to try one of those aiming devices from Radio Shack, I have seen my neighbour using one and it takes him no time.

Hopefully you get it hooked up, as Bell's olyimpic coverage has been pretty good. There is one channel that shows 4 different channels at one time, then you can flip.

yeah, i finally got it working in the evening, I guess the compass I was using was shot because I was way off.
