Well there was an accident in Toronto recently in which a Smart was rear ended by a Navigator doing in the 60-80km/h range and the Smart held up very very well. No broken glass just damage in the rear, the tridon cell was not compromised but the car was written of because of repair costs. The on response crews were overly impressed and thought the accident would have caused serious injuries but instead the driver of the Smart was assisting the other people involved. Mercedes Benz Canada even took the car to examine and is very happy with the performance of the little car.

I'm driving an Echo sedan right now while Babs is in the shop getting the accident damage fixed. Man oh man, this car is truly hideous -- worst dashboard ever!

That is really ignorant, I can't even believe it. I know some could see it as "funny" because a lot of people think they are "dumb" in N/A but regardless, I think H2's are dumb but I wouldn't go out and vandalize one.

Yeah that guy is from Lethbridge and that story made the front page of their paper. I have been following it as I am registered on that board, the sad part is that "fun" little stunt will end up costing that guy 3-5,000 to get all the damage fixed. Jason is right just because you dont like something gives you no right to damage another property. I am a tad nervous about this in case it becomes trendy but I have a garage at least, but there is a group buy for motorcycle alarms on that board now to prevent tips.

This is really sad that some little pukes tipped his smart & based on my experience with Lethbridge Police they will do nothing about it.

I was in Vancouver this week & must have seen 20 or 30 Smarts.

Lupos are way smaller than Golfs. And sadly VW never brought them to North America. I would've bought one for sure

That Sucks that they never did because the way the smart cars are selling there is a definate market for them I think.

Are they made made in Germany?

I really don't like that my car comes from Brazil. :(

If i didn't have all this bugs it seems I would love my car more. These days I'm feeling a bit down about it because of all the stuff going on with it. Thank Goodness for Warranty.
