Damn these little guys are quick. Bored at work and started reading some http://www.msprotege.com/ to see what kind of stuff there doing at Mazda.
The car weighs like 2750lbs and with some cheap mods you can hit 190-200whp easily. How much do these go for Canadian?

I am thinking about building a false floor for the trunk and mounting an amp and sub in the spare tire area. My main concerns are what kinds of materials to use and if I need to fully enclose my woofer.

              Re: MazdaSpeed

I was thinking of buying a msp instead of my golf, but the interior is really cheap plastic. To be honest, it was the finish that bothered me in that car (for example, the wiper motor was damn loud, I didnt like the kenwood deck they chose to use). On a side note, the subs were known to blow easily, but then warranty covers that, and yes I can be anal . I did love the seats though, and the quick throw for shifting.

Another thing b4 I forget, it apparantly runs really rich (too much fuel to boost I believe it was), so a mod was made by one of the msp guys to solve that problem.

Anyway, I am happier that I purchased my 2slow over the msp, but hey that's just me.

My brother did a custom fiberglass enclosure for his sub and amp. It's still not totally done, but if you want some ideas... I can post some pics Kris.

I almost bought one of these, I can't seem to remember what held me off of it............Oh, I couldn't test drive one before I bought it because the 8 coming to calgary were all spoken for at that time, so I would have had to drive an ES20 instead.....

speaking of mazda i think the new mazda 3's are really sharp cars other than they have no power but i suppose you could greddy turbo kit one. but i think they need dual exhaust.

Yea, the new 3's are neat lookin cars for the price.

Thought I heard the msp's had some problems with consistancy. With power that is.

Yeah, they had Callaghan (sp?) turbo kits in them....The new Miatas (or MX5's I guess they're called) have mazda ball bearing turbos factory installed, to avoid that inconsistent power issue......
