I have been researching digital cameras for the last 2 weeks. I will be leaving to go to Jamaica for 3 weeks so i don't want to miss anything. So far i have decided to pick up the Canon A80. Reliability, features, picture quality and customer feed back basically made up my mind.

Try these websites for research. Walmart has it for $484.00 by the way a little cheaper. Don't forget you will probably have to add another $70.00 to $100.00 if you want a card with a little more memory(256mb) or so.
I have used the A80 and its awesome, definitely the best camera at that price level.
I agree with Boy Racer, the lag issue is super annoying. Personally I hate when I push the button to take the picture and it takes .5-1s to actually take it...
Yea, I still have to play around with taking pictures or whatever next time I go to the store. Did you notice any of that with the A80 when you used it?
go here for the cheapest prices on cameras in canada (I did quite a bit of research and this place has the cheapest deals that I could find..): http://www.camera-warehouse.ca/
free shipping and everything. If you choose to buy locally then just go to Future Shop and they MUST match and BEAT the prices advertised on that website...thats what did when I picked up the A75.
