what do you guys think.. i can get a set from a 99 A4 for an awesome deal

they are basically like our OEM recaros and of course i'll have them redone in some special fabric

Ya sure, why not....they heated and all like ours?? Whats this special fabric?? Leather?? Suede (see: my Fiero)?? Pleather?? Latex??

well stock fabric is like the recaro sport cloth on them but i am redoing whatever i buy with leather and alcantara.. lucky thing about OEM seats is i can cop out the easy way and buy a 2 tone katzskin cover for them

these however have no airbags (meh.. just a resistor) and they are heated but no idea if the plug is the same,etc but my car is strictly summer now so heat isn't an issue

Yeah they look awesome, do they fit is the next question, I would assume that they do as the cars are essentially the same. But might as well check that out.

they will fit into the car problem.. i just have to attach vw brackets onto them so no big deal.. or custom make my own either way shouldn't be that hard to make happen..

Yeah I would just double check on the fit as these are coming out of a larger platform then the Jetta, but perhaps with custom brackets it can work.

there is actually a guy here in CVD who has a set in his mk3 jetta so i'm sure they'll fit no problem.. will find out later today on the whole deal

OKAY! well seats are MINE! should be here in 2 weeks sending payment next week. Now i wonder if i want to drive around on clothe for a month or just get them g'd up right off the bat

I say as long as they are gonna fit may as well get them done before you install them (IF they are gonna fit).

I talked with the guy about fitting all I have to do is attach MK4 brackets and remove the audi brackets and its plug and play from there.. if the MK4 base doesn't bolt directly up i just have to make some metal pieces to bolt so no biggie.. he said he's had the seats in his basement for like 3 years and has been getting so sick of them he's been rocking race seats forever and removed his rears.. i told him i don't need the rears so he's gonna sell them to a junk year or something..

edit.. okay here's a tought one.. should i just buy some Katzskin covers because they are made for OEM seats or get a shop here do make some for me? I'm leaning towards katzskin ones because they even offer alcantara now..

Those seats are Hot, plus they're a little different than a regular VW, which is always cool. I dont really know what the katzskin covers are like.....
