I did drive through a few radar traps in the south yesterday, but luckily I was in cruising mode and was not speeding at all. Good luck with your ticket!!

I usually talk to the officer when I get the ticket, and ask/tell them about going to court to plead as registered owner. They understand and will usually add their comments to the ticket for the prosecutor, makes it a lot easier for the prosecuter to change it to R.O. especially if you have a lot of tickets. When the prosecuter sees the driving history with lots of tickets they don't like changing them to R.O. (experienced that)

Be nice to the officer and they'll be nice to you.

I actually had an officer apologize to me for keeping me too long (3 - 5 minutes total time from being pulled over and having a ticket in my hand)

A guy I worked with now has three outstanding (four in total in the last 6 months) tickets for doing over 100 over the posted limit.

He was surprised when the crown snubbed him when he tried to talk the ticket down. Duh.

A humourous story about the most recent ticket. He had to rip to the NW to get some info for his car for his last trip to Race City and he got nailed on the way back. The cop says 'Where are you in such a hurry to get to?', "Uh Race City." "Well, isn't that ironic." Says the cop.
