  • Piston Ring Gap Factor

Hey guys I'm currently building a 4v cobra engine(doesn't really matter), I know sometimes when you purchase piston rings the piston ring gap factor is supplied and easy to calculate but the ones I bought didn't come with any instructions.

I'm running a 3.1L kennel bell supercharger with 13lbs of boost for 650hpish, stock 3.5525 bore.

What are typical ring end gap factors for stainless steel rings for supercharged applications? Here is what I bought: http://www.modmaxracing.com/ProductD...tCode=25004603

What is Napier style taper hook groove second ring? Do the third(oiling) ring need to be gapped?

Below I have attached a piston ring document from MAHLE, on page 21 it has some recommended ring gaps for the 1st and 2nd ring, can I refer to the SAE9254 Steel(supercharged application) factor for stainless steel rings?
