  • any sompressor gurus on here?

I am looking to buy an industrial compressor for my company, and I was hoping someone on here may have some insight. We need at least a 15HP unit, but preferably looking at 25HP.

I found these online, and they are literally 1/3 the cost of the competition. does anyone know about these? input?

I work quite a bit with compressors in that size range at work.

I don't know exactly what else you are comparing this to but my most guess is that you are comparing reciprocating compressors to rotary screw compressors and not just brands.

However to make recommendations there is more info that is required...
    - What is the application? Is it used just for utility/plant air or are you injecting it into vessels or devices?
    - Do you require a certain duty point (needs to be able to run over 80% of the time for constant injection or can it cycle on/off a few times a day as needed?
    - Do you require a certain CFM?
    - Do you require this air to be oil free or do you have oil separators on the discharge of the compressor system?
    - Do you have an air dryer/cooler afterwards? Do you need the air to be cooled before use at all?

You are definitely better versed on this than I am, but I will try to answer...

we are running a commercial sandblasting cabinet for upwards of 8 hours a day. we would like to see 120 CFM continuous for that period of time to maximize the potential of our system. we are using a light medium (#5 glass bead) so CFM is priority to speed up timelines.
we have a de-humidifier/dryer unit and I think we have oil sep already.

does that help? sorry, this is not my wheelhouse at all.
