  • The Club!

So I was chatting with Darcy (my wife for those that don't know her) about the meet today. I was telling her how much I'm enjoying the current members, their cars and the overall feel of the people involved. Being that I've been part of this club for so long, I really find it cool to see how it and its members have evolved.

The club started off with MK4 VW's (newveedub) and there are still several OG's around. We have evolved from MK3, MK4 etc VW golfs, jettas etc to R8's 911's RS4's, Golf R's, Ferrari 348's, audi RS2's, Audi TT's etc! I totally appreciate the clean VW's and every other members but I find it neat how the club has evolved!

Hoping to be part of this club for the long run and look forward to the future of the club!

    Love to all!

In all seriousness, I truly enjoy being a part of the club. The fact that one or another is always willing to provide informative/technical/physical/hands on support is just amazing.

          Kind regards to all,

Well considering things are getting close to 15 years in some form or another I am very glad to see that people are still involved and still enjoying what this group attempts to put together. I have met many wonderful people through this group and made some great friends too and sitting far away from it all (and not driving or even being in a car very often) I still am glad to come by this forum everyday and see that you all are enjoying your cars and sharing the hard work you all put into them.

Thanks to you all for making this club what it is, and I am really glad that people are still happy to be here!!!

Couldn't have said it any better, Derek! It's awesome how the club has evolved since its humble beginnings, and to have such great people be a part of it.

I'm excited to see it continue to evolve and can only imagine what it'll be like in another 15 years!

Very well put Derek! Eurodrivers is the Alberta club to belong to! I've talked with a few new people and constantly hear, "Wow, I thought there would be more attitudes considering the higher end cars, but everyone is so nice and approachable"! It's great to see everyone's progression!

I've been around long enough to have had an NVD decal. Not a very active member anymore, when it comes to meets, but I sure have gained a lot of technical knowledge and support from other members over the years!

I remember about 12 years ago when I got my first VW (MK4 golf) and saw a few night MK4's with the newveedub stickers thinkin "damn these guys have nice cars". Its great to see how everyone has evolved and some of the elegance and class that has been put into a variety of chassis within the VAG group or other Euro's. Here's to the OG's that have paved the way for so many! *beer emoji that doesnt exist on eurodrivers for some reason*

I'm glad I started coming out to some events this year. Everyone has been really welcoming and I've received lots of help with my little issues (car that is). It's nice having a group that you can meet with face to face from time to time instead of just on the interweb.

In the spirit of going down memory lane, I dug up a couple of pics of my old 20th AE GTI from the day I picked it up in '03. Loved that car (although I wish I had gone with Jazz Blue like Derek did!)
