This is more of a rant and i just want to get this off my chest as its driving me nuts!
i got into RC cars and trucks this past Christmas. I'm now up to 3, 1 is electric, one is a 3.3 cc nitro powered and the last one is a 5.1cc Gas truck. ill be the first to admit the fuel powered ones are loud. which is why i don't use them on the block until around 12 noon and don't ever have them out past 6pm. now that's not saying the i rip them up and down the block for 6 hours a day non stop. maybe 45 mins give or take a couple times a week.
Now on to my car, my 94 UrS4. mostly stock. sound wise I'm running a stock air box and paper filter and the exhaust is stock with a 3 inch cat back and manga flow muffler. the car is quite quiet accually compared to the previous dual 2.5 straight pipes out the side i had. i leave my house everyday at 630 to go to work. i open my garage and roll down the driveway and then drive up the street (100m) and out the neighbourhood and off to work i go.

we moved into our new house in June. so happy. love the house and really like the neighbourhood too. close to my kids school and it has a nice modern feel.
About a week after moving in i had a knock on my door. it was the local Peace officer. someone on my block had called in a noise complaint for my Audi. now this was back when i had the 2.5 dual side pipes. as mad as i was due to the fact that I've had the car this way for over 2 years and never had to deal with police over it, i could understand as it was loud. however i had already had a apointment booked to have a 3 inch exhaust with magnaflow muffler installed as I've grown out of the loud car idea.
so i went on my way and had the exhaust changed as I planned.
now on to the RCS, in the old house i used to take the nitro powered RC out all the time. never had any issues. no one said anything no one complained. we move into the new area and its a new group of people here. I would have the RCs out once and a while like i said maybe twice a week for 30 mins maybe a bit longer if i don't break them.
had one of my other neighbours come out one day and ask if i could stop playing with them because it was too loud. He works night shift he sleeps during the day. ill admit i was not the most welcoming to this request as this was the person who called toe peace officers on me before. however i did stop and put it away. but i did tell him that using the RCS at 3 in the afternoon on a friday was not in any violation where we live.
a couple week later i had the RC car out with my 2 daughters who like them to. I was driving around the empty lot next to our house and going over jumps, having fun with my kids you know. The wife of mentioned person above came out of her house and began to yell and scream at me and my daughters calling me names and F this F you ect. i did not yell or fight with her. i said if she felt the need to call in a noise complaint at 3pm on a friday then please go ahead.
