I actually fell asleep and woke up during the extra time...
What a goal. Brilliant. Im actually impressed Portugal were able to hold off France without Ronaldo. Congratulations to them..
The tournament was ok, not great. I would not say any one player stood out for me. It was more seeing the smaller teams working out results. Especially the smaller teams punch above their weight. It was great to see Wales go for it and enjoy the tournament and especially Iceland as much as it pains me.
The defeat of England showed a lot of the faults of the England team in not getting playground basics right. I don't think it was the entirely the managers fault, though he should have got the formation and balance of the team right. Its the whole setup of the FA. The tournament just highlighted the problems thats have been festering for years.
Next world cup in Russia should be interesting.
