I had a 1985 GTI that I drove to 455,000km.

Old school GTIs for the win! My brothers MK1 GTI is at 583,000kms on the original engine... its time for a swap haha.

Lol, yeah my daily commute is like 65kms and she hasn't let me down...often

65km I wish... right now I'm pushing 80+km a day both ways. Still surprised the B5 is running so well. It's a testament to how well you take care of it.

My TDI has 333k km but a buddy had one around 450k km.

Highest I've seen is at some parts place in Calgary, a honda civic got to 1,000,000 and then had to be parted out as the insurance companies decided they would no longer insure it due to "excessive mileage". Place kept the odometer and hung it on the wall.

290km so far on my Golf.....had an 87 TD Jetta with over 700k km, before the odo stopped working, and also have a 91 Nissan pick up with 370k kms

my 88 535is has 316xxx kms on it. had a mk2 gti that made it close to 500xxx. the speedo broke at around 350xxx and i ended up doing the math from the daily commute before it was gone.

80+ km one way I thought I had it bad at 50+ km one way.

My parents bought a used 93 Camry that was passed down from them to my brother to my brother to my brother to me, and was still running strong at just over 500k km.
Would have kept going but the friend i sold it to for $1000 crashed it shortly after

The tdi I drive every day is approaching 450k and going strong. I drove it 110km a day to school.

We have a customer with a 1999 BMW 540i that just passed over 400,000km. Car doesn't even look like its got 50,000km on it, super minty.

Just about all my cars are sitting around the 220,000km mark.

After reading this thread I will stop complaining about my commute increasing from 2 to 3.2km (no, i don't drive to work every day, lol)

My previous b7 a avant I had up to 220 before getting in an accident. The new avant is at 170 right now

I don't think any vehicle i have ever owned has had more than about 170,000kms on it

GLI has ~160k
Volvo has ~166k
Astro van had ~156k
Old jetta had 154k i believe

My 03 gli was wrecked in the face at 252xxxkm, my 04 gli got wrecked in the butt at 252xxxkm, but it's almost fixed
The 04 got a fully rebuilt low mileage 3.2 vr6 at 230212km to replace that blue smoke 22psi 1.8T though, that 1.8T was tough because I was gonna replace it anyways so I just stopped adding oil in it since it burnt so much, 1 quart per 700km I'd say.
