My time in the UK could be coming to an end so I decided it might be my last chance to get over for a European road trip for a while and luckily Bart was available to help drive so fairly last minute, we decided to do another visit to Worthersee in Austria, as we also attended the event in 2014.
The week started out in Poland and I got to check out the infamous Lambo tractor (sorry Bob) and even partially seed one of Bart's fields.
The next morning we got on the road, we took the long way through Germany so we could experience some autobahn action and McRibs at McDonalds. The virtual cockpit in the new Euro Passat is amazing and so are many of the features of this car including lane assist, radar cruise control, and the LED matrix lights making the 10+ hours to Worthersee easier.
RS7 to follow on the Autobahn
Wednesday morning was the first official day of the event and we started out fairly early. There was less official presence this year with only a VW booth and no Audi, Skoda or Seat as we saw last time, thanks dieselgate!
This MK3 was from the States, made us miss the TTRS with Alberta plates on our previous trip.
GTI Clubsport and Clubsport S were the main stars on the VW booth, celebrating 35 years of Worthersee and 40 years of the GTI.
