  • G'd up home remotes?

Hey guys anyone ever use or own one of these.. they can control like anything you can think of even air conditioners and stuff

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...091728652&rd=1

They are 300 bucks at futureshop (yea right lol)
but I wouldn't mind being able to program all my new stuff to 1 remote. My amp remote does it all pretty much except it can't do the stupid shaw cable box
i plan on going to a dish this spring but i think this remote you push a button on the old remote then the button you want on the sony and it captures it.. hrmm.. any advice?

I had bought an RCA one just like it (before the sony was out) and it was crap. it couldn't "learn" half of the functions I wanted it to.

Yeah I gots one..a&b sound did all the wiring and whatnot in my house..the one I have is some weird name, from japan..was 800bux/ea but is a bad ass touch screen one, controls all the audio through the house, the home theater, and you can even move the camera's outside the house around with it.

The thing that sucks is I have man sized hands and it sometimes doesnt respond well.

Radio shack has one for 130ish that has no buttons - it's like a touchscreen. It's totally dark unless you move it then it lights up blue and I guess you can program 6 remotes into it or so. Tempting as I now have 4 remotes (and I don't even have a cable/sat box yet).

            Yeah, I have this remote...

It works really well, and I was able to program all 4 of my remotes into it. Only problem is that it goes through 4 'AAA' batteries in like 2 weeks because of the off/light up feature. I was spending too much on batteries so I just went back to using 4 remotes.
            huh?

I've got a Philips Pronto TSU-2000. It's fully configurable on the PC through a serial port.

I used to have a Marantz RC5000, that worked quite well, but had to be completely programmed on the remote. A bit of a PITA.
