Just going to let me uber-geek-nerd show a bit here.
Went to see the Miku concert on the weekend. I must admit it was better than I expected!
If you don't know who/what Miku is, it's an artificial "singer", called a vocaloid, songs and music are written by famous Asian artists specifically for Miku, and the ai/program sings them in it's own voice. It has a harmonic electronic voice on purpose.
This particular event is unusual because programs don't have bodies, so to be able to do concerts they have devised a way to have holograms on stage accompanied by a real band! It was kind of disbelieveable for the first couple of songs but as it went along you really got into it, the holograms acted in ways that were very lifelike and human and you started believing in them.
The music style is usually very electronic/techno/trance but the band plays closer to metal/hard rock so the combo is actually quite pleasing - if you like the previous music styles.
If you are interested in experiencing something very unique I'd recommend giving it a go!
Scroll through some of some clips below to see it for yourself, in person it's more 3D than these clips show.
