What do you guys think of the S50? That's one of the one's I was looking at too.
Personally I like the "feel" of the A series powershot cameras, I got to use one once and it was awesome. Its also priced really great. The S50 probably is better since its a 5MP camera though.
OK, I finally bought my camera. A sony DSC-F828 I gotta say, I LOVE this thing! I chose it because it had all of the features that were really important to me, it shoots great pics, and most importantly I negotiated an insane deal for it!
Just wanted to say thanks again for everyone's help and input
There's still a ton of stuff I need to learn about the camera (and photography in general) so my initial results with it aren't the greatest. Here's some shots I took on my first afternoon out with it. These shots were taken with a mix of auto and manual settings. I tried playing around a little with shutter and aperture settings too.
Well thanks for rubbing it on our faces, back in California again. I think you have been to California twice in the same time I have not even had one single day off.
LOL, just bugging you Derick, and sweet looking pics!!

Lol 'Tis the season for you Blair. Your work load will be tapering off so though, won't it?
Looks like a sweet camera, I think Derick may have to take some shots for everyone
I don't mind at all. Really, I'm looking for any excuse I can find to stretch the legs on my new camera.... shooting cars is the perfect way to do this.
I'm looking to do a full photo shoot with someone's car. This is what I was thinking...
- Shoot 2-3 different locations
- Static and rolling shots
- Night & day shots (timing permitting)
- Owner of the car gets a copy of all the images in super high-res on disc
- Will probably take 2-3 hours one afternoon
Basically, I wanna try and shoot a portfolio as close as those seen in magazines. The owner gets some great shots of their car, and I get to practice my camera skills I've seen other boards and clubs where certain people charge a fee for this sort of thing (I won't name people). But I think that's BS. We're all homies I'll do it for free. So, any volunteers?.......cough......Ryan.......cough..... .....Anybody?
I would be up for a photo shoot Derick, but need a few weeks to get the car to a better position. Tires are here, new bumper is being made but the boser is proving to give me a challenge....
