I watched it. Well... some of it since TSN pre-emptied the first 43 laps to cover women's golf!!! Arrrrgh!! The bit that I saw and the the highlights that I watched were interesting though. It's nice at this point to see that the rest of the season is still largely up for grabs and that many places haven't been decided yet. Also getting excited for the 2017 season already... those tires are huge!!

I just watched the highlights as I was out, and watching Wimbeldon too. The radio controversy is interesting with Rosberg, but he really just cannot seem to handle the pressure as well as Hamilton, but things are pretty wide open still.

Hamilton in the lead at summer break, but the improvement of Red Bull I think is the biggest talking point currently!!

2017 Tire testing this week too!

Ya nice big tires on for 2017.

Ham had his car turned down from the 2nd lap on and would only turn it up when they got a little closer, I'd say red bull is becoming a clear second but not close to Mercedes yet. I love watching Rosberg struggle

Well not as much drama at Monza but the championship is very close!!!

Rumors of the F1 shares being sold coming as soon as this week and perhaps not as much Ecclestone with new players but I guess we will see what that means!

Trying to make a plan to get to the Chinese Grand Prix next year but waiting on the final schedule to come out.

Max aero would pretty much be the worst decision they could ever make!

Move them to a simple dual element front and dual element rear wing and force the rest of the downforce back under the car by givign them back the freedom down there. This is the only way to allow the cars to run anywhere near each other on track.

Liberty Media will take an 18.7 percent stake in F1 in the short term. The initial step is a $1.1 billion cash deal, with Chase Carey – the executive vice chairman of 21st Century Fox – to be installed as F1’s new chairman.

“I am thrilled to take up the role of Chairman of Formula One and have the opportunity to work alongside Bernie Ecclestone, CVC, and the Liberty Media team,” said Carey.

“I greatly admire Formula One as a unique global sports entertainment franchise attracting hundreds of millions of fans each season from all around the world. I see great opportunity to help Formula One continue to develop and prosper for the benefit of the sport, fans, teams and investors alike.”

He succeeds Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, who will remain on Formula 1’s board as a non-executive director.

Bernie Ecclestone, the commercial rights holder of the sport, will retain his CEO position as previously reported. He said: “I would like to welcome Liberty Media and Chase Carey to Formula One and I look forward to working with them.”

Liberty will invest $4.4 billion equity in total, and also assume $4.1 billion of F1’s debt. The deal, which is scheduled to close in the first quarter of 2017, will total an expected enterprise value of $8 billion.

CVC Capital Partners, the current owners of F1, will retain 65 percent of the rebranded ‘Formula 1 Group’ – but will not control voting rights.

Liberty Global is owned by John Malone, who owns a varied portfolio of businesses from Sirius XM satellite radio to the Atlanta Braves baseball team.
