Just wanted to post up some interesting things i saw at the autoshow this weekend. Post up what you thought about the show, specific cars booths anything like that.
I was only at the show for about an hour and a half on thursday. Went with two friends, (one a die hard ford fan, the other a diehard Nissan fan) here is my opinionated review.
Few things that stuck out to me:
Beetle dune was at the vw section. Looks awesome, but for me its killed by the lack of awd. I would absolutely buy one if it was 4mo.
Big titan warrior looked pretty cool. But i didn't get a chance to take a close look.
The nismo juke rs was hilariously hideous. thats all i have to say about that... I'm sure you can all imagine it
Focus RS... Price just seems outrageous.... close to ten grand over the Golf R. 52 grand is S3 territory (yes i know the rs is faster) but come on. The blue was gorgeous, but looks like ford was lazy with the rear end styling. Interior was meh. I dont see anything special about it.
Now the fiesta was great, another sweet orange paint job with an awesome flake to it, I much prefer this to the RS.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a new fiat that i haven't heard of. The 124 Spyder. Looked great, Small rear wheel drive turbo car. Basically a miata. I liked it!
Then we walked over to the audi booth. The r8 looked awesome in person, I still think i prefer the mk1 version. but it definitely looks great. Placement of the r8 was terrible though... It was over on the edge of the booth where the new building begins. so traffic jam central even on a thursday.
the Huracan was my favourite car at the show, Looked amazing.
the 458 speciale was absolutely insane. All that blue carbon on it. Optioned and modified to like 750 grand usd or something crazy like that. I also loved the 488 gtb and the f12 of course.
There was a very nice RUf outfitted 911 there that looked awesome. But at the official porsche booth, i wasn't too wow'd. I would have liked to see some brighter colors at the very least.
The nsx to me was pretty meh as well i think the styling is ok. I didn't know the price when i was looking so i was guessing like 300 grand or so, was surprised to see a lower price between 180-200k.
I have some photos of the show ill upload tonight.
But thats what stuck out to me, I think i may have missed a few other cool things. Ill add if i remember.
