As many guys know the 2007 rs4 brake rotors are insanely priced at $899 at the dealer. there are some options of course, europaparts has these
    https://www.europaparts.com/brake-ro...ab-brembo.html
you can also find them on amazon.ca
    http://www.amazon.ca/Brembo-09-9477-...mbo+09.9477.23
now the picture in the amazon one is not correct probably just a generic photo. so i'm ready to order them but i'm looking to comfirm if they are correct, i've emailed brembo with no response. what do you guys think?

also i'll be getting new pads, something low dust but good performance. suggestions?

    Re: brake help

Maybe Natty can help you out regarding the the pair? As for pads, I thought the OEM TRWs were good, but I've read many have suggested Hawk HPS as an awesome replacement for low dust. Good luck Danno!

      Re: brake help

i've sent a email to natty about this, maybe he can help. i'll swing by his shop when i get back from mexico. it's wierd i'm notorious for being gentle on my cars but still i went through brakes in 60k km. my gti had 120k km and no brake jobs done.
i noticed that if i push the pedal just a little bit you can feel the pad and rotor rub unevenly. oh well new rotors and pads will be nice. i will look up the hawk hps then thanks.

id say as long as the part number matches up they should be good.

also Trw stock pads are $165 all in from concept1. im going with those and steel brake lines from ecs tuning

              Re: brake help

Had hawk hps, akebono cermaic, and oem.. Hawk hps is a no brainer for any of my cars and family's, very low dust(compared to oem), best braking in all conditions compared to the other two, and wear seemed pretty good on my old jetta(30000km 60% left). Akebono pretty means zero dust, but performance definitely feels weaker than oem(04 GLI with the bigger brakes stopped worse than my 03 with smaller brakes but hawk hps pads), not a huge deal if you have very over boosted brake assist(such as a Benz GL550). Ive also heard good things about ebc, you could try that out, i didn't try it just because i had such a good experience with hawk.

Rotors oem is probably the best hence the price but I've had really good experience with the geomet coated ones from ecstuning(aka wrongparttuning, sorrywewaitingparttuning and muchtaxtuning)

+1 on the #wrongparttuning. they sent me the wrong size drain plug.

As for pads I have all those brands as listed above. And unbeatable prices

                            Re: brake help

If you want to shave a few lbs and get a slight upgrade in size and performance (true floating, directional and replaceable rotors) take a look at Girodisc. They also have pads for the RS4. I have been running the SS pads for a few years and love them. They have a very low dust for a track day pad and way better performance than a HPS. They are way better DD livability than a HP-plus. I have the rotors also and they will be going on in the spring may even try to move up to the 380mm.

Depending on how much material is left on the discs we may be able to grind them for you.
