My dad's scion had 17k in hail damage to it. Not sure of the extent of this but hail can certainly be pricey to fix up.

They fetch a pretty penny when they're well maintained, -- see Derek N's as an example.

Or better yet, the Silver R32 for sale, vs TJ's Red one. That $6,500 difference there, or $10k different here.

These poorly maintained, in need of TLC cars, are not for the buyer looking to get into a "cheaper" halo vehicle, imho.

Not worth looking into IMO unless you can do the repairs and repaint yourself

I think the sweet spot for that car is $15k-$18k

yea. still be would be interesting to see how much $$ is needed to fully restore the car and then pitch that to the owner. RS4 with 87k km is pretty rare if the rest of the maintenance is up to car (carbon clean, injectors, etc)
