ugh. so i had a set of 16" steelies from my '07 rabbit that i eventually ran on my '03 a4 wagon in the winter. tires were shot so i bought some new ones for my '06 a4 wagon that i picked up earlier this summer. well the wheels don't clear the front calipers, and now i have a brand new set of studded winter tires on steel wheels that i can't use. my fault for not checking but the convenience from having the wheels on my old audi and dealing with a toddler daily, things get missed and assumed. i guess these are my options:

i was thinking about having those tires swapped onto the factory 16" alloys currently on the car but they have new summers on them ,which i was hoping to leave them alone, since they came on the car when i bought it earlier this summer. a reasonable solution, cause i hate the wheels and they would be great winters, but this route requires me to step up my wheel game come summer time.

see if anyone was interested in a winter set up for a mk5/6 or b6 audi. it would make a great complete winter set up and then i would just start from scratch again. possibly my easiest solution.

if i do the tire swap, i would have some 16" steelies for sale, and some 16" summers with <10000kms on them. an annoying solution, but might help my wheel game out.

    what do you think?
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3

The views where likely my wife face palming each time. Yet somehow we just spend $250 on new winter mats..

I think craigslist for cheap rims that fit and mount your winters on those. Or alternatively if you do mount then on the current factory rims, plastidip them for some winter protection.

this is the route i ended up taking. i did an overnighter in edmonton wednesday so i just left the car at the tire shop and it was done when i got home. i don't have much time to mess around with this so it was the easiest/fastest solution. i don't really care about plasti dipping them. they are just ugly winters.

so guess i need to sell some wheels and tires to pay for some new summers. FS thread coming soon haha

                thanks to those who replied.
