Katie and I are leaving for our trip to Rennsport Reunion 2015 in less than 2 weeks now so I figured I would start a little thread to try and document our journey.

First a picture of the car

Heres a basic route of what we're planning.
    Big stops along the way:
Bend, OR - So many breweries!
    Portland, OR
    San Francisco, CA
Monterey, CA - Rennsport Reunion @ Laguna Seca!
    Yosemite National Park, CA
    Yellowstone National Park, WY

Looks awesome, I have wanted to do PCH for quite some time. My sister did it 2 years ago and said it was just amazing. Cannon beach is one of the most amazing places in the world, might want to plan an extra day there. Looking forward to the pics!

How long are you going for? Have you driven US 101 before? (wuste?) You're going to have a blast!

I've done the coast up to San Francisco before, not for wuste though. Going for 3.5 weeks.

I think the cabrio would stand out at rennsport even if it is painted a Porsche color

                    Re: 5800km in a 911

Nice! If you have time, I'd jog west a bit and take the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park up to the border and come home via Waterton and Longview. Unbelievable scenery, and well worth the extra couple kms. Plus the border crossing at Chief Mountain is kind of Mickey Mouse so it's pretty casual compared to Coutts/Sweetgrass.

Yellowstone is amazing... if you have time to do the Grand Loop, do so! Just from the window I saw wolves, bald eagles, buffalo, a grizzly and a moose!

I did this drive a few years back only went thru vegas and around the Grand Canyon. We also cruised up thru Glacier on the road to the sun highway. Definitely worth taking that extra time cause it's closed for most of the year. We did 7300 kms on our trip.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3

Going to the Sun road is a great road but it will be long closed for the season by the time P & K are on their way home. Close around the 20th of Sept every year.
