  • Polishing/scratch removal

As we all know, black paint can be a PITA. My car's paint isn't in the best shape and i want to look at getting the whole car polished.

My hood is f*cked, In the winter months my roof box slipped out of my hands during removal and came crashing down my hood leaving some scuffs and deep scratches that i haven't been able to remove. Im wondering if these would be able to be removed through polishing, or if painting is the better option. There are other various little dings on my car that i believe would come out from polishing as they are not as major as the hood. So polishing/detailing guru's, next time you see my car at a meet or wherever, could you take a look at the scratches and let me know if they could be removed?

As for getting the work done, I hear Jed@mobile reflections is the best of the best and I'm sure his work is even better now that he has a proper lit shop where he works, but comes at a pretty penny. (but I'm thinking this may be worth it as some of the scratches are pretty bad)

I think i heard that Natty's shop now does detailing, Has anyone had work done there?Hhow did it go? I will chat with Natty this afternoon while i am at the shop.

I know detailing is not cheap, so i may look at wrapping it again and leaving it at that for now...

I know ginger beef does some good porishing, if he can porish porsche Maserati and s600s he can do your Audi. You can also fill the deep scratch with clear coat pen and 2000 it then porish it

If I'm going to get some polishing done, I'm gonna take it to a shop, just incase something goes wrong.

FWIW, on our W8, Jed wasn't able to get the deep scratch out of the trunk deck, the intended only flaw on the paint....but everything else he did was worth every penny! I highly recommend him!

With your luck i would certainly stick to a shop just in case something gets out of hand, who knows what it will be this time, perhaps somebody dropping a grinder/buffer down the bonnet??
