So there is a set of wheels on kijiji that belong to a friend. They were stolen out of my back yard. What does one do about that? We will file a report, but have no serial numbers or anything like that to prove ownership. Will post links later. I want to screen shot them before they are taken down.

    Re: stolen wheels

So of course, I can't be 100% sure, but tread looks right, wheels match, and the are discoloured and nicked up the same way.

Buyer beware on these guys! I want to get an address from the guy, but probably not worth it. I'm sure they are within a few blocks of my house. If you go look at them, be sure to kick the guy in the balls.

If for some reason these are exactly what you were looking for, mine were pretty nicked up. One had a bad hit to one of the outer most lips that actually cause a small crack on the lip maybe an 1/2" long. Also, one of my 4 had a blue aluminium hub ring in it still. Not looking for someone to go vigilante on this guy, but would like to prevent him from making money if they are my wheels.

      Re: stolen wheels

why dont you go down and check them out under the guise of buying and confirm them?

if they are, then go to the cops - guys like that tend to fall apart with their stories

      PS he's in mayland heights

Even if they are mine, cops won't do anything without proof of ownership. It's just my word against his. Only hope is a few other people report stolen stuff from the same guy. I don't even have pictures. I was going to take pictures of all the numbers because I just went to tirebob for new lugs and hub rings and wanted to make sure I got the right ones, but then I just brought one wheel with me. Damn!

not saying this is him for sure - but this is the guy that was selling the wheels on kijiji. Not a stretch to think it possible...

Its been like two days now why haven't you gone to see if they are yours yet? Other people have contacted him so why haven't you? Instead of posting that they might be yours.....no offence but those core racing wheels are soo common. They come up frequently on Kijiji not exactly unique wheels...

He won't reply to me. I'm pretty much calling it a loss as I've already had to buy new wheels. Don't have time to wait for these to come home. If they do, that's a bonus.

**actually just got back to me. Will try to check them out.
