2015 Montreal Grand Prix

Just got back from a great trip to Montreal and the F1 race. Total bucket list item for me and the experience didn't disappoint!

Wanted to share some pics and vids:

It started to rain pretty heavily in the afternoon towards the end of the practice round and Lewis Hamilton hydroplaned straight through the hairpin and hit the tire wall:

Nice! I was there over the weekend as well, definitely did not disappoint and will be attending again! Great photos and videos.

I had bought tickets with my dad since february... I didn't go because I got a job offer last minute and I didn't have any vacation during the race period anymore. He said it was great...... I was disappointed, but I will try to go next year for sure!

You'd think so, but oddly the next race is in Austria. The US race isn't until October 25th.

Haha... I just got back as well... had no idea so many ED'ers were even there! Perhaps we book a row of tickets for next year?

PS. My only disappointment is that I didn't see the Porsche GT3 Cup cars at all? Were they totally cancelled from the event or what? At least the Ferrari's were awesome.

It's on my bucket list as well, didn't realize that many guys watched formula 1. I having missed a race in years .

No way! That's too funny – too bad we all didn't say something before so we could all have met up. Where were your seats? We should totally do an ED trip next year.

I was bummed about the lack of Porsche Cup cars as well. From what I was told, they got pulled last minute and the schedule got changed up. Unsure whether those Nissan Micras were the replacement or not as I don't recall seeing them on the original schedule. Oh well, still a great time nonetheless!

that's rad! i have always wanted to go to the montreal GP. i went to the turkish GP in 2010 and got up close like that too. it was an amazing experience. i have a feeling my wife is sending me to the US GP in austin for my bday so hopefully i can cross of another one from the list!
