UM got back to me yesterday, $100 off the DSG if purchased in a combo.

We have been having issues reaching them. If we can't get them out late this week, then this might have to wait till we get back from Leavenworth. Even trying to reach their other venders have been tough.
Hopefully we will have an update soon.

For those of you that have vr's, why are you choosing to go UM?

One of the biggest points for MK5 R32s is that UM actually has a great DSG tune. There are other companies that offer a DSG tune but they are either overpriced or do not meet the same performance that the UM DSG tune offers.

I will try and contact them later today myself and see what's going on. I'll also give VND Motorsports a call and see if we can get the loaner tool shipped out.

Alright, I got answers as I just got off the phone with UM.
I need to know who is 100% committed.

This is an idea we thought of over the phone.
He can come to Calgary and the first day he can be here will be June 15. The tunes will be done during the day by Fred himself, and he would be flying back home next day (I assume).

All cars need to be at one location.

He requires all cars be scanned by Vagcom to confirm there is no engine issues or for those getting the haldex tune that everything is in working order. He also requies a 50% deposit per tune.

For the MKV R32 people that are interested he has a new Spark Cut tune with a adjustable lauch control that he can add on to the package for $150.00 istead of the regular price $300.00

So what I need to know is will that date work for everyone? The sooner I can get the response the better. If I don't hear back and get a yes or no by tonight then this will have to wait till after Leavenworth. (June 23 or later)

If everyone can do Monday June 15th, I can collect the 50% deposit and pay him in one sum. No Money= No tune. I will not cover for anyone.

Let me know if you have questions. The only way we can get a group discount is by having at least 10 people who want to tune.

a few things to consider, 3 days before leavenworth seems a little tight, I'm not sure if there would be any issues, but if for whatever reason there would be, that could ruin your leavenworth trip.

My friend zac also is also looking to get the tune. He has a 12v vr6, hes looking to get a stage 1 na.. Also i can do any day but that monday unless its before 3pm.

Ill be the first to say I agree and don't like the idea of having this done so soon. I do think it is better to have it done at a later date so this doesn't seem so rushed right before Leavenworth.
He does guarantee no issues but you never really know.
Regardless I need to hear back from everyone who put their names down, everyone needs a vagcom scan of their car and deposit.

I think it would make more sence for us to plan a later date and have it all ready to go with out the rush.

Just spoke with Fred again about a date.

July 1-10th he will be away. I did ask for an evening time so that people don't have to miss work and that can be done since its not such a rush.

Date has been set for Thursday evening June 25th!! This gives you all time to get me your 50% deposit and I can do the vagcom scans if needed. As long as those dates works for him please mark it in your calendars and please contact me about payment.

I have put all the prices and deposit amounts on the first page. Please PM in the next day or two to sort out your payment

I'm guessing he would want to start as soon as people are ready. Maybe around 5pm? Time hasn't been set yet.

I will be at coffee and I think the best way would be to either e-transfer or PayPal the deposits in USD amounts. I can take USD cash too if you would like. This way if paid in USD, it won't matter what the exchange rate is after. Makes more sense this way and is more secure to transfer over to UM also.

For the people getting the Haldex tune, are supposed to do a vag-com scan and send him the scan to see if we can do it or not?
